What can I say about this one.

The mechanical sounds are recordings of a massive drill rig that I worked near in the middle part of 2018 while working in construction. Following a very low phase, that jobsite gave me ample time to think. I forgave myself for past mistakes, and experienced peace while working there.

The harmonic mechanical sounds were recorded in 2016 inside a separate construction job at a geothermal plant (in keeping with the theme "Pierce the Earth). The layered sounds of electric motors made a harmony, and I made up a tune which has stuck with me all the years since, and it has served as a form of meditation whenever I sing it to myself. The melody you hear in this song is what I made up there.

This song is a record of times in my life when I've been very much at peace. It can often feel like a dream, which is why I included the Star Trek sample at the end, "we have to dream in order to survive."

Please read that again. This album, for me, is a dream realized.

If you're reading this, thank you. I hope you enjoy this body of work. I am emotionally full to finally see it completed.

It is my highest hope that you find that which makes you feel most alive, and spend the rest of your life in its pursuit.
